Tigress

|

"Tigress" (M. Loewenstein)
Tigress, your eyes are bluer than you know
I want to make your cherry blossom grow
Take you to my room
Expose your rose and watch it bloom
I know you’ve got some growing up to do
But I don’t mind you hanging around
Come find me if you’re ever down
Understand my point of view is not vulgar as it seems
I was only recalling a dream
No I can’t control a fantasy
But I can control what I do
So if I’m flirting with the others while you cry under the covers
Know I’ll come running right back to you
It’s what I always seem to do
I cannot explain why we should be apart
But it’s a fool who looks for logic in the chambers of a human heart
And I could blow your mind if you gave me a chance
But I can’t help that I’m a victim in the chambers of a circumstance

Empress of Tunka

"Empress of Tunka" (M. Loewenstein)
Dear sister girl can I kick it I just gotta know
Which planet do you hail from and does it snow
You took the blackened sky and painted stars
When all the lights go out girl show me your scars
Beneath the blankets in the basement while your parents sleep
I’ll be the keeper of your secret if you just let me say that I’m not what I seem
And then you say…
Don’t tell me what I already know
I’ll be right by your side
Just let the embers glow
And let the stars come alive
Headed to Mazatlan to feel no pain
That ocean has no memory so says Dufrane
Your skin is sun-kissed sand, your ocean eyes
Wrap me up tight inside of your Greek Goddess thighs
I threw a party for the Golden Empress and her friend
Though unexpected it went quite well dare I say
And I found out that we’re all the same
I don’t believe in everything I see
I seem to prefer living life with my eyes closed
That’s what it takes to intertwine with the cosmically divine

Now I'm a Thundercloud
03:24
|
|||
"Now I’m A Thundercloud" (M. Loewenstein)
I was an overwhelming cloud, there’s no denying that
But my rain was neon
Yet your antiquated style could only see me in black and white
And my only regret, looking in retrospect
Was not showing you neglect
Because no one wants the person wanting them
So follow me down
Into a place where no one’s around
So I can say I don’t love you I’m just passing the time
Well, see you around
Or maybe not
I guess we’ll find out
Just as long as you know I don’t love you I’m just passing the time
And you could say I’ll never know
The truth of how you love me so
But that’s just it that’s just why I don’t need you
Do you ever feel empty?
Because I sure feel too full
And I think that just maybe
Your empty cup could use a bit of my overflow
Because Yang grabbed me by the wrist and took me to the sky
And now I’m a thundercloud
But my rain could make your light bulb shine and glow

Broad Ripple Ducks

"Broad Ripple Ducks" (M. Loewenstein)
Ain’t it a shame how thin we used to be in High School
Those photographs have us grabbing at our gut
But get your belly full when night falls on Indiana
And turns fine young scholars into drunken sluts
The two of us are just Broad Ripple Ducks
Side by side we float along the green canal and
People walking by will laugh at all that we enjoy
But we will pay no mind because we don’t speak their language
I’m playing tennis with my pride against you
Losing the match is an arbitrary fear
Like superstition and the evening news
Because I know I belong with you
And I had no other choice but to love you like I do
I said find another boy, your persistence only grew… yeah its true
And I need you by my side, but only when you’re not near
And it takes a couple drinks for me to see it clear that I need you

Good Morning

"Good Morning" (I. Opalinski)
Good morning, how you doin’
It’s good to hear from you
Did you sleep well, I really hope so
Wake up, have a drink or two
Cuz I know I my heart that this is the start
To something really crazy
And I want you to know that my feelings will grow
Dancing around your body
Good morning how you feelin’
I wanna take a look at you
Wrapped up in my blankets
And you just wanna snooze
So I lay my head down my mind goes to town
While you just lay there snoring
And I want you to know that my feelings for you
Just won’t ever get boring
So don’t feel down and apply your lips now
Let me take you sailing
We’ll see some new shores and open up doors
And that will be what life is all about

Firecracker

"Firecracker" (M. Loewenstein)
You’re such a firecracker, I want you naked in my bed
You’ve got your lips here drilling a hole into my head
Oh, baby wrap me in your sugar and dunk me in your tea
Daddy’s right here girl, why don’t you come sit next to me
When I hold you and I feel your breast pressed to my chest
Well I’m so inclined to tell you that I love you
And when it’s over do you mean it’s really over
Is it over now
I listen to Beatles and Motown to rid me of my daily dread
I walk through Hell when the sun is down just so I can clear my head
And I’ll keep playing this game you’re playing although it takes a toll on me
And will I make it through the weekend, I guess we’ll have to wait and see
Don’t go, tell me what you’re mad about
Stay here and baby we can talk it out, yeah lets talk it out
Don’t say it’s over now

Dolphins in Space

|

"Dolphins in Space" (M. Loewenstein)
Don’t bother asking me questions ‘cause I don’t have the answers
Or at least the ones you’re looking for, no I don’t know
If only I were a bit more shy I’d save myself the trouble of feeling like
Nobody will understand my mind and neither will I
My eyes are seeing sparks of rainbows just like dust
We’re all walking around in circles trying to find our way home
Somebody throw me a blanket or clothes
‘cause I’m shivering cold and feeling overexposed
Cover the drain up with my toes and let the water rise above my mouth and nose
Because I’m here and your there, these things we just cannot compare
It’s how we end up

Get Lost

|
|||
"Get Lost" (K. Davidson)
I hold you closer so I can feel your smile
It doesn’t know me but that only lasts a while
As the grin spreads from your right ear to my left
Lips are speechless but that only helps them nest into yours
Let’s walk a rut into the streets
Beyond the pale of these three hundred thread count sheets
Let’s get lost

You're a Jellyfish
02:25
|
|||
"You’re a Jellyfish" (M. Loewenstein)
Where has your love gone, does it remain entertained by the Florida sun
Its ghost is dancing alone in that vacant ballroom the very place
I held you so tight as we danced to silence and to sunlight
But where did it go?
Cause bumble bee you belonged to me in my mind at least, but oh now you’re vanishing
You’re a jellyfish floating by the shore and I’m a little boy who never saw the ocean before
The waves of green put you on my scene
But I got too close and I felt your sting
When life is no good, let me in, put your guard down like you said you would
I only want to see you smile
Guess it’s not so bad, I’ll be gone in two months and she’s a nomad
But still I wonder

|

"Aly Bammy" (M. Loewenstein)
I’m a Chicago boy, but I’m Aly Bammy bound
I’m a Chicago boy, but I’m Aly Bammy bound
I’m gonna take my train ticket, gonna leave this winter town
I’m Aly Bammy bound, gonna get me the cornbread
I’m Aly Bammy bound, gonna get me the cornbread
I’ve got a woman down there who knows how to keep me fed
Well she cook her cornbread just for me
She knows her Grandmomma’s recipe, yeah she’s my baby
Oh, she’ll never let me down
Well she brings me cold milk to wash my cornbread down
She’s kind of chubby, she’s got bad teeth
She’s got eight toes on both of her feet but she’s my baby
And I’ll love her until the end
Now well she bring me good lovin’ then she bring me that good cornbread

Observatory
03:04
|
|||
"Observatory" (I. Opalinski)
Lying down tonight, looking up at the stars so bright
All I can think is you all the time
I don’t know what this place does to me
It shows me stars I would not ever see
The constellations point to you
But you will never see from this view
My eyes drifting to your star burning through my flesh and into my heart
I’ve got this constant feeling of harmony
You know while I’m writing this, I’m picturing you in your golden bliss
You’re the only thing that I know is true, and that’s what you do
Life is like an observatory of you and me and all our dreams
Climbing across this empty field, I’ve got visions of you and my soul is healed tonight
As daylight nears the crest of my face, I wake up in that special place
To breathe in the air gets me high
Even though I smell a faint sense of change
We’ll take our deep thoughts and rearrange them
But please don’t ever cry
Because we always have the night…
Sky to rest our sorrows to bed my mind is wide awake going gently through my head
I’ve got this constant feeling of ecstasy
You know while I’m writing this, I’m picturing you in your golden bliss
You’re the only thing that I know is true, and that’s what you do

It's The Bug
03:47
|
|||
"It’s The Bug" (M. Loewenstein)
I’m now swimming in a sea of doubt
Trying to get my head around all of this
Fantasizing about finish lines
So much so that seldom I am on time
And I want to say what I can’t explain
Maybe I’m just tired, maybe I need rest
Maybe I’m just thinking harder than what’s best
Spend my time coming up with witty lines
To dispatch when the time is right rather than think on my feet
When that time finally does arrive
It never plays out just like it did in my mind

Running with the Zebras
03:25
|
|||
"Running With The Zebras" (M. Loewenstein)
You came to me galloping like a zebra
You left shamefully slithering like a cobra
I know it’s no good that I want to know you
But I’ve told you three times now this song isn’t for you
Upward and onward a child’s balloon let go, he found something new to hold
El Corazon de ti es el calor de la mar a medianoche
We’re all just arborists who moonlight as arsonists
Stabbing backs and breaking hearts
Each one of us a fugitive running from the truth
And its gravity it bears
